How Caranva Boats works for professionals: requests, quotes, payments and commission
Quick answer
On Caranva Boats you register free, publish your services by category and area, and receive owner requests by email, push and chat. You quote from the chat with the quote builder; the client pays by card and the money is held. When finished, you mark the job complete and are paid by bank transfer once the client confirms or after 72 hours without a dispute. Commission is 15 % up to €400, 12 % from €400 to €1,500 and 10 % above, with no fees.
Steps
- Create your account and activate it as a professional from "Work with us".
- Publish your services: category, description, area, photos and price range.
- Receive requests from owners in your area by email, notification and chat.
- Ask questions and quote from the chat with the quote builder.
- The client accepts and pays; the amount is held securely.
- Do the job and mark it as finished.
- Get paid by transfer when the client confirms or after 72 h without dispute.
- Ask for the review and propose the next maintenance.
1. Sign-up and profile
Go to Work with us, create your account and activate the professional profile. Complete trading name, description, area and billing details. The team verifies profiles before publishing.
2. Publish your services
Each service has a category (mechanics, electrics, carpentry, cleaning, skippers…), description, up to 6 photos, one or more locations and a price range. A good listing appears on category and city pages (for example carpentry in Valencia) and in owners’ searches.
3. Receive requests
When an owner requests a quote on your listing, you get an email and a push notification. You may also receive requests assigned by the team when a client can’t find a professional in their area.
4. Quote from the chat
The chat has a quote builder: items, extras, total and description. You can save drafts and send several options. Tips in how to write a quote that gets accepted.
5. Protected payment
The client pays by card through Stripe. The money is held while you do the job. When you mark it finished, the client confirms and it is released; if they don’t respond, it is released automatically after 72 hours if there is no dispute. You receive a transfer to the account in your billing details.
6. Commission
| Service band | Commission |
|---|---|
| First €400 | 15 % |
| €400.01 to €1,500 | 12 % |
| Over €1,500 | 10 % |
Bands are marginal: on a €1,000 job you pay 15 % on €400 and 12 % on €600. No sign-up or monthly fees. You invoice the client for the full service; Caranva invoices you the commission. Full detail in the terms and conditions.
7. Reviews, disputes and support
After each job the client is invited to review you. If a problem arises, either party can open a dispute and the team mediates with payment held. More in how to get reviews and avoid disputes.
